Transcription

Know all men that I William Kittinger being of Sound mind & disposing memory being fully conscious of the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life do make, ordain and constitute this my last will & testament

1st I will my body to the grave & my Soul to god that gave

2nd will that all my just debts be honestly paid

3rd I will that my beloved wife Polly shall have the farm on which I now live her lifetime and at her death I will Said farm to my Son William. It is my wish that he Stay on the farm and take care of my wife. It is also my wish that my wife have my negro woman Agnes her lifetime. It is my will that my wife have the present crop also that growing. Also as many hogs as She wants to make her meat and as many cows as She wants also the mare Fly & her colt also the mare Poll to keep on the place.

4th I will to my son Andy the place called the lake farm containing two hundred & twenty acres also my negro boy Thorton.

5th I will to my son John my tract of land I bought of Coffman & his heirs also a negro boy Alex, also the young Sorrel horse he claims

6th I will to my Son Daniel one hundred & eighty Seven & half acres of land that I purchased of work lying in Ohio County, also a negro boy named Henry. Also my son Daniel is to have four hundred dollars in cash when collected, also a block of lots I purchased of Dyer & Co. in Rumsey also a tract of land on Green River Bought of Anderson he is to have my claim & also my lots in Carolton with the plank also the roan horse

7th I will to my Daughter Christiana my negro girl Caroline

8th I will to my Daughter Hanna four hundred Dollars

9th I will to my Daughter Sally four hundred dollars

I will to my Daughter Nancy my boy James

10th I will that my Daughter Nancy & Sally have my negro woman Agnes at the death of my wife & wish one or the other to keep her at her valuation

11th I will to my Daughter Polly a negro girl Adeline and two hundred dollars

12th I will to my Daughter Eliza a negro girl Julian and the negro Child that Agnes is like for but Should Agnes not have a child as is expected or it die at birth then my sd Daughter is to have three hundred dollars out of my property when sold and collected also the press that Stands in the little room

13th I will that my wife Sell what She Spare off of the place on a credit of twelve months and wish it to go to pay the Legaces to my Daughters, as far as it will

14th I will that at the death of my wife all the property She does possesed of not willed a way by me Shall be Equally divided between my Daughters

15th I will that the boy I purchased of Finch be kept hired out until the youngest child becomes of age unless Finch redeems him as he has a right to do in September next. If he does I will that the money be equally divided between my daughters

16th I will to my Son William the blaze faced Sorrel mare

17 I will that my Waggon dearborn cart & the wood work for a cash be Sold and the money Equally divided between my Sons

18th I will that the Slave Stay on the place always. I will my wheat fan to be kept on the place.

It is my will & desire that Wm. Kincheloe and Samuel Furguson act as my Executors & faithfully carry out this my last will and Testament
