Lewis Reno Will

Transcription

I, Lewis Reno, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (blessed be almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching this my will shall in the first place be fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof then my will is that all of the residue of my farm goods, stock, chattels and household furniture shall be sold at public vendue or in such manner and at such time and on such terms as my executors shall think best, and the proceeds thereof shall be divided into four equal parts.

One equal fourth part thereof, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth James. One equal fourth part thereof, I will and bequeath to daughter Milly K. Lovelace. One fourth part thereof, I will and bequeath unto my daughter Fanny L. Finch. One equal fourth part thereof, I give and bequeath unto and among my granddaughters Sally A. Kincheloe, Mary E. Kincheloe, Hannah F. Kincheloe and Clara L. Kincheloe, the children of my deceased daughter Clara Kincheloe, to be equally parted and divided among them, share and share alike, and to be paid and delivered unto them the said granddaughters at their several respective ages of twenty one years or days of marriage whichever shall first happen and in case any of said grandchildren shall depart this life before such time as the part of portion of her or them shall become payable them and in such case the part of her or them so dying shall go and be equally divided among the survivors of them share and share alike.

And I hereby make and ordain Samuel James, William Finch, and Henderson Lovelace, the bonafide executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the nineteenth day of November eighteen and forty five.

The foregoing last will and testament of Lewis Reno deceased was exhibited into court and proved to be the act and deed of the said Reno by the oaths of Alfred M. Jackson and Lewis McCown the subscribing wintesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded. In witness whereof the same has been truly recorded. I have hereunto set my hand.
