Nuncupative will of James Stewart deceased
Memorandum: that on the 12th day of Decr. in the year 1842 James Stewart of the County of Muhlenberg being Sick of the Sickness whereof he died on the Same day at his habitation where he had resided for the last four years, did make and declare his law Will & Testament nuncupative in these words of the like Substance that is to say
I give and bequeath unto my Sun Duncan Stewart all my interest in the present of corn tobacco &c. and in like manner, I wish my 2 cows and 2 young steers & one two year old filly all of which I wish to be Sold & Equally divided amongst my other children, named by Temperance Forehand, Elizabeth Whitmer, Malinda Raney and Mary Shank.
These words or the like Effect the said James Stewart deceased in the presents of the subscribers, with the intention that the same should be his last Will & Testament whereof is desired them to bear Testimony which we reduce to writing this 16th day of Decr. 1842
In Testimony whereof we subscribed our names the date within.

The foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the nuncupative will of James Stewart Sr. deceased was Exhibited into Court, and proved by the Oaths of Jacen Mercer and Adam Stobuck: the Subscribing witnesses thereto, which is ordered to be recorded.
