Our family lived at Bon in the 1920’s for years. I attended Bon School and went to high school in Williamsburg and graduated in 1935. My sister Martha and I played on the girls’ basketball team. The other girls were Ella Kirklin, Dora Lovitt, Margaret Robinson, and Nancy Brown. We made a good team. Martha and I played forward. I shot more goals than she did but she got as much credit because they couldn’t tell us apart.
