Nall, Aaron

Madisonville - Services for Aaron Nall, 59, who died Sunday in the Hopkins County Hospital, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Browder Church, near Madisonville. The Rev. Jimmy Russell and the Rev. John Brandon officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Patsy Underwood of Central City, and two sisters, Mrs. Creel Mason of Louisville and Mrs. Otto Swanson of Chicago.

Nalley, Claude Stephen

Central City - Claude Stephen Nalley, 55, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday after an apparent heart attack. He was a retired coal miner born in Muhlenberg County, April 29, 1910, and was a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Grace Ellen Nalley of Central City; a son, Robert Allen Nalley, and a daughter, Miss Claudette Nalley, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Maude Ellen Nalley, Central City; three brothers, Ike and John Nalley, both of Louisville, and Newton Nalley of Central City, and four sisters, Mrs. Lourine VanNoy, Mrs. Katherine Haynes and Mrs. Grace Blackwell, all of Detroit, and Mrs. Evelyn Wilkins of Central City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. (CST) Wednesday at the Tucker Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Carrol Yarbrough, pastor of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church, and the Rev. Rufus Staples. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

The body is at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City.

Nalley, James

James Nalley, 92, Is Buried Today

James Nalley, 92-year-old Central City retired coal miner, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 in Muhlenberg Community Hospital following a long illness.

He was born in McLean County Feb. 28, 1876 and was a member of the Central City First Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World.He was married 68 years before his wife died last year. They lived on Morehead Street.

Survivors include a son, Joe Nalley of Greenville; four daughters, Mrs. Lucy Baxter and Mrs. Gladys Morris of Central City, Mrs. Nell Jernigan of Chicago and Mrs. Ethel Hunter of Owensboro; sister, Mrs. Betty Tipton of Evansville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. in Central City with the Rev. W. R. Cook officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.

Nalley, Maude Ellen

Central City - Mrs. Maude Ellen Nalley, 83, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville.

She was born in Muhlenberg County on July 6, 1885.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lurine VanNoy, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., Mrs. Katherine Haynes, Detroit, Mrs. Gracie Blackwell, East Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Evelyn Wilkins, Central City; three sons, Isaac and John H. Nalley both of Louisville and Floyd Nalley, Central City; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Herald, Central City, and Mrs. Thelma Williams, Pontiac, Mich., and three brothers, Claude and Walter Doss, both of Central City, and Emmet Doss, Detroit.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Green River Chapel General Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. William Bullock, pastor. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

The body is at Tucker Funeral Home.
