Nunley, Ronnie

Central City, Ky., Dec. 8. - Funeral services for Ronnie Nunley, 13, foster son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nunley, who was fatally burned here early Tuesday, were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday in the Central City Baptist church. The Rev. Ray Dean, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Fairmount cemetery, with young Nunley's classmates of Central City Junior High school as pallbearers.

He is survived by his foster parents, two sisters, Shirley Stirsman and Claude Nalley, and grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Clark.

Heart Attack Takes Mayor of Greenville

Greenville - Clovis John Nuss, 53, of 158 N. Main St., mayor of Greenville, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday at his home of an apparent heart attack. He had previously been treated for a heart condition.

Nuss had been appointed mayor upon the resignation of Harreld Kirkpatrick about a year ago, having served as city councilman for three years.

He was a member of the Greenville Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge F&AM 244 of Greenville, Moose Club, Greenville Kiwanis Club and was a member of the Muhlenberg County Board of Directors for the Council of Mentally Retarded Children.

He was born in Muncy, Pa., Nov. 21, 1909, had been a resident of Greenville since the mid-thirties and had operated the Camera Corner since 1949. He was the area photographer for an Evansville, Ind., television station.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia L. Nuss of Greenville; one son C. John Nuss Jr. of Lafayette, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Schwab of Buffalo, N.Y.; three grandchildren; father, John F. Nuss of Gary, Pa.; three [sic] brothers, Roy Nuss of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Gary Nuss of Erie, Pa.; and an aunt Mrs. Maude Hicks of Greenville.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gary's Funeral Home, with the Rev. W.S. Bolles, pastor of the Greenville Methodist Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. A.B. Gross, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
