Bonnie Hazel Thompson

From the Mount Vernon Signal: Mrs. Bonnie Hazel Thompson, 92, of Rt. 6, Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born in Rockcastle County September 19, 1912, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Altie Tyree Bradley. She was a retired dietician and cook for the Rockcastle Hospital having served for 37 years and she was a member of the Roundstone Primitive Baptist Church. For the last ten years of her life, she made her home with her daughter, Nancy Sigmon and family.

Besides her daughter and son-in-law, Billy Gene, she is survived by five sons, Billy Ray Thompson (Gayle) of Roundstone, Parkey Lloyd Thompson (Helen) of Flemingsburg, Gary Everett Thompson (Susan) of Loveland, Ohio, Larry Franklin Thompson (Carolyn) of Brindle Ridge, and Roger Dale Thompson (Donna) of Lexington; one brother, Everett Bradley of Brodhead; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs Thompson will be held Thursday, June 16 (today) at 1 p.m. at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home by Parkey Lloyd Thompson. burial will be in the Maretburg Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darrin Sigmon, Joshua Switzer, Eric Thompson, Justin Thompson, Tyler Graham, Kacey Rails, Nathaniel Rails, Tyler Rails, Logan Sigmon, Daniel Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Micah Thompson and Ryan Thompson.

(Bonnie Hazel was married to the late William Lloyd Thompson who died 18 June 1971.)
