Funeral Services Held Friday For Mrs. Robt. Clark
Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Clark Held Friday; Internment in Fairmount

The summnons which came to Mrs. Robert Clark, 45 years old, last Thursday, removes from the citizenship of Muhlenberg County one of her most beloved women and was heard with regret by her loved ones and friends.

Mrs. Clark was a devout and consecrated Christian and for fifty years had been a member of the Methodist church, uniting in early childhood.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock last Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Linnie C. Bailey, by the Rev. B.M. Currie, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. O.M. Bush, pastor of the Baptist church. The body was laid to rest in Fairmount cemetery.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband and five children.

Clark, Jerry Wayne

Central City - Jerry Wayne “Jerrico” Clark, 39, of Central Ctiy died Sunday, May 4, 1997, at his home. He was born in Muhlenberg County.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Clark Jr. of Beaver Dam; a brother, Danny Johnson of Central City; and two sisters, Mary Geddings or Paris and Ernestine Putman of Central City.

Services are at 2 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Clark, Lillie

Died of Pellagra.
Miss Lillie Clark, of Muhlenberg county, died at the Western State Hospital Tuesday of pellagra. She was 40 years old and was received at the institution about four months ago.

Lloyd S. Clark Died At Home Of Sister, Monday
Funeral Services Held at Home of Sister, Mrs. Linnie Clark Bailey, Wednesday

Lloyd S. Clark, 48, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Linnie Clark Bailey at 9:50 o'clock Monday morning after an illness of several weeks duration.

He was born in Greenville on September 25, 1897, was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and Post 61 of the American Legion. He was well-known in Muhlenberg County his occupation being a coal miner.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold Shrader, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Paul Dukes, Chicago, Ill.; one grandchild, Barry Shrader; four sisters, Miss Margaret Clark, San Jose, Costa Rica; Miss Beulah Clark, Fort Custer, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Lee, Greenville; Mrs. Linnie C. Bailey, Central City; one brother, Robert Clark, Owensboro, Ky.

Mr. Clark enlisted in the Army on June 5, 1917, at Madisonville, Ky., and served in France during the first World War. He was a corporal in Co. F., 103rd Engineers. He was discharged at Camp Taylor, Ky., May 24, 1919.

Funeral services were held at the residence of Mrs. Bailey Wednesday afternoon. Burial was with military honors in the Soldier Section at Rose Hill Memorial, War Veterans serving as pallbearers.

Clark, Will C.C.

Will C.C. Clark, an asylum patient at Hopkinsville, committed suicide last Thursday morning by hanging. He made a rope out of a sheet and fastened it to a ventilator in the wall. He was a preacher from Penrod, Muhlenberg county, sixty years old, and had been in the asylum eleven years.

Mrs. Callie C. Clarke, widow of W.H. Clarke, who died at the home of her son, J.W. Clarke, at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, November 23, was buried last Friday morning. She was 69 years old.

Mrs. Clarke was Miss Callie Yontz and was born and reared at South Carrollton, and was a member of a prominent pioneer family of Muhlenberg County, her parents being one of the first Virginia families to locate in the county.

When quite a young girl she married W.H. Clarke, store manager for the Central Coal and Iron Company, and they located in Central City, where she made her home until about 10 years ago when she located in Santa Anna, California. She had returned to Central City to spend some time with her son when she was stricken with her last illness.

Mrs. Clarke was the mother of fourteen children, twelve of whom survive. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. A.W. Wright of Guthrie, Ky.

Her funeral was conducted last Friday morning from St. Joseph's church, her pastor, Rev. P.J. Braun offering the requiem high mass. Burial was in Fairmount cemetery in the Clarke lot where her husband, who passed away twelve years ago, is buried.

Cleaver, Edward E.

69-year-old citizen died December 30 at home on Reservoir Ave.-Kincheloe Bluff Road.

Edward E. Cleaver, 69 years old, departed this life on December 30, after a lingering illness, passing away at his home on the Reservoir Avenue-Kincheloe Bluff road.

Mr. Cleaver was united in marriage to Miss Mary S. Williams on August 5, 1896, and to this union seven children were born, four of whom survive. Surviving are: C.D. Cleaver, Central City; Mrs. Gladys Hardy of Lexington; Collis Cleaver of Louisville, and Delbert Cleaver, this city.

Mr. Cleaver professed faith in Christ 33 years ago and lived a devoted Christian to the day of his death.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Mr. Gary of Greenville. Interment was in Fairmount cemetery.

Pallbearers were, Jack Wolcott, William Kitchen, Creel Mason, John McRoy, Chester Vickers and Ernest Brown.

Clunk, Debra Ann

Central City - Debra Ann Clunk, 20, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Central City, died there Sunday. She was born in Illinois.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Clunk; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marr of West Palm Beach; a brother, Fred Marr Jr. of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Glenda Frank of Nuscine, Ill.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur List of Delna Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Thomas of Dayton, Ohio, and Katherine Hendricks of Central City.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City. Visitation after noon Tuesday at the home of Katherine Hendricks.
