A big THANK YOU to Dorothy Hawkins who submitted her photos of Phelps Cemetery and Evans Cemetery. They have been posted to Find a Grave.

Also, Brenda Sanders found a single stone for Bryant Cemetery and has posted it on Find a Grave. This family cemetery is located off of Highway 49 on Bryant Ridge Rd. in a field under a tree. There is only one double stone located in this cemetery.

Suzanne Shepherd has recently posted cemetery lists for the following cemeteries on the Casey County, KYGenWeb site: Beard (aka Bland Cemetery), Bethelridge, Dogwood Gap (aka Adams Cemetery), Evans, Gaddis, Roy and Glenwood.

The Casey County giant family tree project is growing by leaps and bounds. Currently there are 53,000 people in the file and over 11,000 photographs. Thank you to all that are contributing.

This past weekend I was able to get copies of Casey County marriage bonds for the years: 1918-1931, 1934-35 and 1949-54. The bonds for these years generally list besides the bride and groom, their ages and parents and whether they have been married before. This is a very time consuming and expensive project and I just ran out of time to get more. There are several thousand of these bonds and the ultimate goal is to create a database to post to KyKinFolk and to also add the records to the above mentioned family tree.

Brenda Sanders is working on getting the 1954-1956 obits. Unless we get volunteers, we will likely stop there because the death certificates from 1911-1953 are online.

Family photos are a great asset to both the Find a Grave project and the family tree project. If you have any old photographs of parents, grandparents, etc that you would like to contribute please notify me at the above e-mail address.
