Piper, Don Waymon

Central City - Don Waymon Piper, 39, of Central City died Saturday, May 12, 1979, at the home of a friend, Ed Hendricks of Central City. He was born in Muhlenberg County and was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Sue Piper; a son, Jeremy Piper, both of Williamsport, Ind.; his father, Lonnie Piper of Central City; two brothers, Frankie Piper of Tampa, Fla., and Freddie Piper of Cleaton; two stepbrothers, Mike Laureano of Hopkinsville and Richard Laureano of Chicago; and a stepsister, Lisa Gary of Chicago.

Services are at 1 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City. Visitation at the funeral home.

Piper, Lonnie

Central City - Lonnie Piper, 71, of Central City, died Monday, July 23, 1984, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville. He was born in Muhlenberg County and was a member of the Holiness Church.

Survivors inlcude two sons, Freddie Piper of Central City, and Frankie Piper of Lakeland, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Dukes of Ledbetter; a half brother, Charles Perry of Drakesboro; and two half sisters, Mrs. Zella Mae Avery of Central City and Mrs. Dorothy Nell Perry of Drakesboro.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Miller Cemetery. Visitation after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Piper, Pearl

Central City, Ky. - Mrs. Pearl Piper, 84, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Henry Brewer, Central City, following a lingering illness. Born in Logan County, she was a member of the Paradise Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to Mrs. Brewer are one son, George Brooks, Paradise, Ky.; two other daughters, Mrs. Daisy Dunlap, Alabama, and Mrs. Pearl Eva Harper, Chicago, Ill.; 26 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Paradise Baptist Church. Burial will be in McDoogle [McDougall] Cemetery.

The body is at her late residence.

Piper, Thomas Franklin

Bremen - Thomas Franklin Piper, 48, of Bremen, died Wednesday, in Bremen.

He was born in Muhlenberg County, was retired from the Marine Corps and was a member of a Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, Reda Piper; two sons, Michael T. Piper of Vista, Calif., and Mark P. Piper of Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Wanda L. Piper of Bremen; his mother, Hessie Piper of Central City; three stepsons, Monte L. Casebier, Marty D. Casebier and Mickey S. Casebier, all of Bremen; a granddaughter; four brothers, Donald Piper of Indianapolis, Bobby Piper of Bremen, Garland Piper of Nebo and Jerry Piper of Powderly; three sisters, Mildred Scott of Cleaton, Betty Duenow of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ann Bowen of Central City; four half brothers, Dan Piper of Indiana, Doyle Piper, James Piper and Clyde Piper, all of Greenville; and three half sisters, Alma Rice of Central City, Evelyn Devine of South Carrollton and Buetta Morris of Cleaton.

Services are at 11 a.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City.

Burial in Mount Pisgah Cemetery, Midland. Visitation at the funeral home.

Piper, Willadean

Central City - Mrs. Willadean Piper, 51, died Friday at her home in Chicago of an apparent heart attack. She was born in Muhlenberg County.

Survivors include her husband, Don [sic - Lonnie] Piper; five sons, Franklin, Venice, Fla., Donald W., Michael and Richie, all of Chicago, and Freddie L., Central City; a daughter, Miss Allisa Piper, Chicago; her mother, Mrs. Iva Vanover, Central City; and three sistrs, Mrs. Hazel Higgs and Mrs. Lois Arndell, both of Central City, and Mrs. Barbara McGuire, Huntsville.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Tucker Funeral Home by the Rev. Roy Geary. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Central City - Services for Mrs. Willadean Piper of Chicago, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Tucker Funeral Home by the Rev. Roy Geary. Burial will be in Rose HIll Cemetery.

Pittman, Rufus S.

Rufus S. Pittman, 82, Dies at Home Near Unity

Rufus S. Pittman, 82, died on Friday, January 25 at 4 p.m., at his home in the Unity community.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Unity Church with the Rev. Chester Moore, White Plains, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Rufus Graham. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Coy Lee Croft, Shelby Underwood, Lindel Oates, Homer Rose, Eldred Coleman, and Kenneth Robinson.

Mr. Pittman had been a member of Unity Baptist Church since 1894.

He is survived by one brother, Steve Pittman, Greenville R1; four nieces, Mrs. Kelly Bard, Greenville R1; Mrs. Rolley Hamby of Mayfield; Mrs. Fred Heflin of Mayfield; Mrs. Tom Gregory of Detroit; seven nephews, Eades Baird, Greenville; Ernest Pittman of R1, Greenville; Maurice Pittman, US Army in Korea; Earl Pittman of R1, Greenville; Irvin Pittman of Petersburg, VA; and Keifer and Fielding Pittman, both of Roanoke, VA.
