Mrs. Tom Pointer
Graham - Mrs. Cordie Alice Pointer, 63, of Graham, died at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, Greenville, Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
She was born in Muhlenberg County on July 20, 1905.
Survivors include: her husband, Tom Pointer, Graham; six sons, Ruby, Cecil Ray, Kenneth, all of Granite City, Ill., Dencil and Shelby both of Graham, and John, with the U. S. Army, Fort Knox; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Williams, Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Peggy Levart, Madison, Ill., Mrs. Flossie Knight, Hammond, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, four step grandchildren; a brother, Russell Vincent, Bremen; a sister, Mrs. Hettie Vincent, Evansville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. A.B. Gross, officiating. Burial will be in Shavers Chapel cemetery.

Death enters home of Robert Pollock
Meningitis was the cause of the death of Betty Lina Pollock, 16 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pollock, at 2 o'clock Monday morning. She had been ill for several weeks.
Rev. H. L. Thornton conducted funeral services Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home. Burial was at Fairmount cemetery. Her parents, two sisters and four brothers survive her.
The sympanyt of the many friends of the family goes out to them in their bereavement.
Drakesboro - Joseph Ralph Porter, 51, of Drakesboro, was found dead at his home early Monday. Born in Muhlenberg County, he was a son of Mrs. Chloe Porter of Greenville and the late Fred Porter.
Muhlenberg County Coroner Charles Nelson said Porter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Surviving beside his mother are a son, Gregory Porter, Evansville; a daughter, Mrs. Deborah Fehrenbacher, Evansville; three brothers, James Porter, Chicago, Ill.; Warren Porter, Milwaukee, Wis., and Gene Porter, Drakesboro, and four sisters, Mrs. Augusta Collier, Monticello, Ark.; Mrs. Mary Ellen Shaw, Louisville; Mrs. Katherine Denton, Montgomery, Ala., and Mrs. Sue Barnes, Miami, Fla.
Services 10 a.m. today at Tucker-Beechmont Funeral Home, Beechmong, with the Rev. Don Piper officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Greenville - Estill E. Posey, 72, of Route 2, Greenville, died here yesterday at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born in Muhlenberg County, he was a retired painter.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Posey; a brother, Willard Posey, and a sister, Lorell Roberts, both of Beechmont.
Services 2 p.m. Sunday at Gary's Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial in Muhlenberg County Memorial Gardens, Powderly. Visitation after 5 p.m. today.
