OSBORNE posted by warren osborne on Saturday, June 3, 2000: I am researching the OSBORNE family from Henry Cty. The only info that i have is that they lived in Crab Orchard area and had several children. the only childrens names that i have are Houston and Edward. They left the area and moved to Oklahoma during the land rush about 1889 where they settled in three sands.

DYKES, HARRELL, HARRELLS, HERALD, JONES posted by Glenn Thibault on Saturday, June 10, 2000: I am looking for information on Samuel HARRELL and Rachel HARRELL of Henry County Kentucky. Rachel L. HARRELL was born in Henry Co., KY on 4 Jun 1861. She married William JONES on 8 Mar 1877 in Henry Co., and she died 1 Aug 1926 in Washington Co., KY. The marriage record lists Rachel's father as Samuel HARRELL (and also spells it as HERALD and Harrel) and says he was born in Indiana. It notes her mother was born in Henry Co., KY but does not list her name. The marriage certificate reads: This is to Certify, that on the 8 day of March 1877 the Rites of Matrimony, were legally solemnized by me between Wm Jones and Rachel L. HARRELL at Saml HARRELLS in the County of Henry in the presence of Alexander DYKES, Reuben HARRELL and Alfred JONES. [Signature illegible] --any further information on this family would be appreciated.

Malinda was born on 9/23//1830 in Henry Co. Malinda died on 7/25/1911 in Jefferson Co. KY. I have Malinda's father as "Clem" ESTES, born in Henry Co. MCKINNEY posted by Jody McKenney Thomson on Thursday, July 6, 2000: In the 1820 census for Henry County, Kentucky there was a Joseph MCKINNEY with this enumeration: 2 males less than 10 yo 1 male 10-15 yo 1 male 16-18 yo 2 males 16-25 yo 1 male greater than 45 years 1 female less than 10 years 1 female 26-45 years Joseph appeared in deed records in Henry County between 1814 and 1825 when he disappeared. He could have died or he could have moved. Since so many of the families in Henry and Jefferson counties had strong ties to families in Mercer County, I am wondering if Joseph came from there. Does anyone know anything about this family?
