Cessna, Charlie Leonard

Powderly, Ky. - Charlie Leonard Cessna, 74, of Powderly, died Friday at Muhlenberg County Hospital, Greenville. He was born May 29, 1898 in Butler County. He was a retired coal miner.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Cessna; two brothers, Fielden Cessna and Emmitt Cessna, both of Powderly; two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Strand, Rochester, Ky., and Mrs. John Siber, Marissa, Ill.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, with the Rev. Huston [sic - Houston] Noffsinger, pastor of the Woodson Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Cessna Cemetery.

Cessna, Fielden

Greenville - Fielden Cessna, 79, of Greenville, died Sunday at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Born May 29, 1894 in Muhlenberg County, he was a retired coal miner and a veteran of WWI.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bedie Cessan, Greenville; four sons, James of Drakesboro, Eugene of Greenville, Archie of Hammond, Ind., and Leroy of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Walner of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Emmitt of Powderly; two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Strain of Owensboro, and Mrs. Minnie Seaber of Marissa, Ill., and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gary Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Fox, officiating. Burial will be in the Cessna Family Cemetery, Powderly.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.

Cessna, Ollie W.

Mrs. Emmit Cessna
Powderly - Mrs. Ollie W. Cessna, 78, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at her home here. She was born Feb. 7, 1888 in Muhlenberg County, and was a member of Powderly Baptist Church of which she was the last charter member.

Surviving are her husband, Emmit Cessna of Powderly; three sons, Lloyd W. Heltlsey, Freeman and Lawrence Cessna, all of Powderly; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Herschel Knight, Eaton Park, Fla.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Powderly Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Gene Harper, pastor, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central city.

The body is at the Gary Funeral Home, Greenville.
